FINE PROFIT IN SHEEP RAISING

NICK WELTER GIVES FACTS AND FIGURES
REGARDING A SMALL FLOCK

Nick Welter, one of the substantial farmers near Crookston, who believes in diversifying, gives a few facts and figures regarding his flock of sheep which will be of interest and shows what profit can be made from sheep, requires very little work through proper care at certain seasons. Last winter he kept 40 sheep over and his returns thus far this year have been as follows:

From sale of wool, $80.40

From sale of mutton to Crookston butchers, $76, and this in addition to eating all the mutton desired on the farm of which no account was kept.

He now has 60 sheep and lambs in the pasture. 20 more than he had last spring, the 20 meaning that much more clear profit.
