If hatpins have to go, there are the modish fancy hairpins which are taking a strong hold upon the feminine fancy. Some of these have disc tops of repousse silver and others are jeweled.
The newest hat shapes prove that the obvious tendency of the summer was a correct prophecy, for they have the brims turned up flat against the left side of a tall crown.
As many faces as bodies are slightly one sided. For these, the one-sided hat is a boon, since one eccentric line counteract's the other.
There will be no deviation from the long, straight lines that distinguish the present dress modes. Coats and frocks will be narrow and keep to the simplest lines.
