The 1915 Atlas for Polk County shows a Swedish Mission Church located in the northwest corner of Section 25, Higdem Township. The church is gone and the cemetery is covered with prairie grass. It was once fenced but that is also gone. This cemetery is on the verge of being lost forever. There are certainly unmarked graves at this sight, some possibly the children of Henrick and Elin Johanson. Additional information in.

Henrick Johanson, also known as Henrick Lindberg, was born in Sweden on May 3, 1856, he married Elin Johanson November 20,1886, Elin was born in Sweden on February 17, 1860 to parents Johan and Maria Johanson, they had 11 children – 7 died in childhood before the 1910 census, 1915 Atlas lists Henrick Johanson as having land in Section 24 - 160 acres, in Section 23 - 120 acres, in Section 29 - 10 acres, wife Ellen, children Ellen, Hjalmer, Helma and David, lived in county 35 years, farm called “Valley Home Farm.” Note difference in spelling, they lived a mile north of the cemetery. (Hilma, also called Rita was the daughter of Henrick and Elin Johanson, she was born May 30, 1894 and died October 25, 1954, she married Thomas Bannis.)
