Burnham Creek Cemetery is located west of Crookston about 3 1/2 miles,
along Burnham Creek, in Andover Township.
In the book Bicentennial History of Polk County, Minnesota by the Polk County Historical Society, (1976); this was written about Andover Township: “The Hans Hanson family lost three in two months, to lung fever and diphtheria. The same year three children of the McMahan family died of diphtheria, and twin daughters of H.C. Scribner died on the same day, of the same cause, at the age of three.” Perhaps some of these are unmarked graves in one of the two cemeteries in Andover Township.
